Strawberry Festival

Since it was SO hot here a few weekends ago, we decided to go to the Strawberry Festival in Oxnard (near the beach) thinking it would be cooler. Nope, still hot!

Auntie Suzie and Uncle Matt came too. We went to lunch in Downtown Ventura where it was much cooler. We had so much fun!!

Real Pigtails!

Audrey's hair is actually getting long enough for realy pigtails! They still stick straight out, but they look cute :) These are the best pics I could get of them, but I think she looks like such a big girl. Where did our baby go?

Party at Gymboree

We were invited to a birthday party at Gymboree for Audrey's friend Tye. We had so much fun!!

Audrey apparently knows how to climb now! She climbed all the way to the top of this all by herself. Daddy and I were amazed!! Who knew?

Here is a little video of Audrey shaking her bells to the Freeze Dance. She even would shake and stop with the music. Is she musically inclined?? She must of heard this song a thousand times in mommy's belly since it was played during every Gymboree class :-)

Bikini Time!

With our recent heatwave, Audrey decided it was time to break out the bikini! I guess she felt like she was bikini-ready :)

Trapped!

Since Audrey is everywhere, we finally had to put up a gate to keep her out of the kitchen. Here she is testing it out.

Really Walking Now!

Here is a great pic of Audrey walking. It is so hard to capture since she is getting fast! she looks so happy. Watch the little video below!

Audrey is 11 months old!!

This is it! The countdown is on to the big day when Audrey celebrates the end of her first year of life. Here is her photo shoot this month. She is still not too cooperative, but we managed to get some shots. She was just about to start crying in this one.

Here is how the shoot ended. This is a rocking chair so she wasn't too steady. She just had to stand up though. At least she didn't rip the sign!

Pondering the meaning of life

Audrey decided that since she is approaching one year old, it is time to start thinking about the future and what it all means. Of course snacking on some turkey and cheese helps!

Park day!

Audrey and mommy went to the park today before dinner. We went on the swings and the slide! Audrey had a great time!

She also discovered the sand.


And had to sample it of course! Yummy!

Family Pictures

We had a family picture session at the same beach that we had our engagement pictures taken. We got some really great shots! Here are two of my favorites.

Houston, we have a walker!!

That's right, at the tender age of 10 months, 1 week and 3 days old, Audrey Lynn is officially a walker! She went from holding on to the couch to taking 1 or two steps to all of a sudden walking across the living room! She can go from me to Daddy and back. She has gone as many as 10 steps in a row!! We can't believe we are here already! It is definately going to get interesting!

Just looking cute

I was playing around with the settings on our camera and happened to have lots of sunlight in the living room. Even though our camera is not the greatest, I managed to get some cool ones! Not hard when you have a good model.

On the phone already!

Audrey is only 10 months, but already likes to talk on the phone! We will have to curb that habit sooner than later! This is her toy phone
She knows what to do with it and knows the sign for phone as well. Here she is on the real phone, much more fun!
She can also sign more, hat, all done. She can wave, clap, move her hands for wheels on the bus, nod yes, say dada and mama. She is learning something new everyday!
These are her absolute favorite toys. Her pumpkin "purse" that she carries around on her arm. She likes to put things in it and take them out. She is also holding her "baby", a Little People girl that she loves to carry everywhere. I will ask her "where's your baby?" and she looks for her. Too cute!

Mommy and Daddy's night out

Mommy and Daddy's good friends got married and they got an overnight date thanks to Grandma Carla and Grandpa Obe! Here we are all dolled up. We had a great time!

Audrey is 10 months old!!

It is crazy to think that in 2 short months, our little baby girl will be ONE!! Where has the year gone? Here are some shots of Audrey on her 10 month birthday, which also happened to be Daddy's 432 month birthday :) Note the I heart Daddy shirt covered in drool. A tooth has to be coming soon!

So it's been a while!

Audrey yelled and me and told me that I really need to update this blog that I said I would keep up with! Now that I have finished school for the semester, I have no excuse! On to the updates!
