Another mini-shoot

I did another practice session with my favorite client yesterday. I really am starting to feel more comfortable with camera settings and editing. Still not great yet though. I have to say, these pics are some of my favorites ever!! Audrey was very cooperative. And I just loved her outfit, she wore it for her school pictures yesterday too (yes, she had school pictures at our mommy-and-me). Can't wait to see how they came out. Here are some favorites from yesterday!

Universal Studios

My mom won free tix to Universal Studios, so we took Audrey last weekend. I think she just enjoyed walking around more than anything. There is not really anything for little ones to do there. The big test will be in December when we go to Disneyland!
Audrey looking terrified on the tram. Some of it was probably way to scary for her. She did OK, and didn't cry. She also sat for 20 mins. which I didn't think she would do.
Audrey and Daddy. Could she look more bored?

La La La La La La Tonight!

Oh yeah, you know I wouldn't miss the New Kids on the Block Reunion Tour. And I went with the perfect crazy fan like me...Rita-Jan!! We had a blast!! Totally felt like an 11 year old girl again. I went to see them 18 years ago at Dodger Stadium for the Magic Summer Tour and let me tell you, it is much more fun when you can drive to the concert, have some drinks, and enjoy looking at grown men knowing you are of age :) LOL. Seriously, it was a night to remember. Now how do we get tix for November??

And P.S. I still *heart* Jordan. :)

Sporting our not-so-cheap t-shirts.
The guys.
Me and the guys. Oh yeah!

My b-day!

When you are a mommy, celebrating your own birthday gets a little less important...but I still celebrated a little on the actual day. We spent the day with some of the mommies and had some great snacks and even some cake!! Audrey and I had a great time, as always.

The awesome cake (thanks Korene!).
In the evening, Auntie Suzie and Uncle Matt came over to celebrate. We ordered some Chinese food and just hung out. Above you can see Audrey and Auntie playing their infamous yelling game. They have done this since Audrey was about 6 months old. Too funny!
Our little family. Audrey was all ready for bed. She is holding the cute card she got for me. She even signed it herself! What a great day!

Margaritas = good times!

We had so much fun celebrating the big 2-9 with family and friends at the best Mexian Restaurant in the world!! It really meant a lot to have everyone come out and celebrate. Thanks again!

Birthday girl and the hubby. (I am spoting the new haircut).

Audrey and Uncle Matt.
Audrey and Ryder loved hanging out with the big girls, Sierra and Macey.

Me and some of my favorite mommies. (Note the unintentional matching shirts, good taste is shared :) Audrey and Auntie Rita.
Audrey and Auntie Sasha.

Sombrero time!!! Aye Aye Aye!

And now for the flaming tequila shot...

And the lime ...mmmmm. :)

The big 2-9!!

Yes, today marks the start of my last 365 days in my twenties. :) I intend to enjoy this year as much as possible. Oddly enough, I am looking forward to 30! It has been a great year and I have many blessings to be thankful for.

Now if only the Dodger's would win tonight, it would be the perfect birthday! :) If they lose, it will take me a year to get over it. But then I will save money on World Series tix and buy tix to the next New Kids concert, so that may make me feel better!

Can you see a difference?

I can't believe how much she has changed in a year! Same pumpkin patch, different kid!

Pumpkin Patch Day

Audrey and her friends met up at the Pumpkin Patch to ring in the Harvest Festival. Too bad it was 90 degrees and felt nothing like fall :( It made for some cute pictures anyway! And we will be back a few times before Halloween.

Audrey and some of her buddies being cute. This picture was taken with the aid of many snacks!
Looking all grown up!
Pat, pat, pat! She was patting the giant pumpkins.

Viva Las Vegas

My mom, Audrey and I headed to Vegas this past weekend to celebrate my good friend Emily's 30th birthday!! We had so much fun on our girl's trip. Audrey was a trooper as always and even did great on the long drive, thanks to food, toys, naps and Grandma to keep her occupied :) I even made my contribution to the Vegas fund by leaving most of my money there in the slots. I had fun doing it though! Audrey has now been to 4 states in her short life (CA, NV, AZ and WA). She pretty much has the west coast covered, minus OR.

Checking out the view of the strip...the windows were pretty dirty :)

Hmmm, what to order for breakfast? Pancakes I think!Making a wish in the fountain. And yes, that is a leash on her. Hey, when your child won't sit in the stroller and only wants to run around a very crowded hotel, you do what you have too. It made me feel much safer to know she couldn't take off. I never thought I would be one of those parents, but I have now learned not to judge until you are in the situation :) We will be using it at Universal and Disneyland as well.

More Seattle Pics

Swinging at GG Dot's. That is the ocean in the background. Coolest.swing.ever.
Audrey and her GG Dot looking out at the boats.
Look at that sunburst! It wasn't intentional, but I sure love it!
Audrey and GG Dot taking a stroll. It was a gorgeous day.
This rocking chair belonged to Audrey's Nana, then her Great Auntie, then Daddy, then Uncle Bryan, now it is hers! She loved sitting in it and trying to rock.
Audrey and her 4th cousins. Eva (6) and Mara (3 months). Little Croatian beauties. :)
Having fun at Nana and Papa's.
I love this picture. Daddy, Papa and Nana looking on as Audrey runs away. So cute.

Trip to Washington

We just got back from 5 days in Washington State to visit Nana, Papa, GG Dot, and the rest of the family!! We had so much fun. We stayed at Nana and Papa's new house, which is really nice. Audrey had so much fun climbing up and down the stairs, seeing the sheep, and getting to know Jet the dog. We got to visit with family, including the newest cousin baby Mara. We even had a night out alone with Auntie Jaime and Uncle Justin. The weather was perfect, nice and sunny, even though we would have loved some more rain. It was a great trip and we were sad to leave. Hopefully it won't be too long before we head up there again!

Audrey at the airport in her jammies waiting to board the plane. Hold on, I am conducting business here. Sell, sell!!! :)
Being silly at GG Dot's house.
Audrey and Mommy.
Loving on the new Raggedy Ann doll that GG Dot gave her.
Audrey's first time eating a whole banana by herself. She thought it was pretty cool!

This is what she did the whole time we were there, up and down the stairs. With our help of course!

Checking out the sheep.

Posing in Nana and Papa's front yard. The sheep are across the street!

Go Dodgers!!!

Wahoo!! The Dodgers are the National League West Division Champs!!! As of today, they are leading their series against the Cubs 2-0. I can't believe it. This is the farthest they haev gotten in the playoffs in 20 years!!!! Maybe it is because I didn't go to a game this year...hmmm maybe I should stay away from now on :) Audrey had to put on her little Dodger outfit and cheer them on. Go Dodgers!

This one is horribly blurry, but I thought it was too cute to leave out.
